Description

Tyler, Texas-based Mewbourne Oil Co. announced results from a Delaware Basin-Wolfcamp discovery in Section 34-21s-32 in Lea County, N.M. The #001H Bilbrey 34-27 W2PA Federal Com flowed 1.517 MMcf of gas, 400 bbl of 48-degree-gravity oil and 3.476 Mbbl of water per day from perforations at 12,457-22,236 ft. It was drilled to 22,270 ft, 12,156 ft true vertical, and the horizontal leg bottomed 2 miles to the northeast in Section 27. It was tested on a 23/64-in. choke after 60-stage fracturing with a shut-in casing pressure of 3,150 psi. The venture had initially been permitted to target Bone Spring in Bilbrey Basin Field. There is no nearby Wolfcamp production.
