Crescent Point Energy Corp. has completed the first well from a pad in Williams County, N.D. Located in Section 5-158n-100w, #1A-32-29-159N-100WMB CPEUSC Chase Douglas was tested flowing 158 bbl of 40° API crude oil, 50,000 cu ft of gas and 2,018 bbl of water per day from Middle Bakken at 9,957-19,933 ft. The flowing casing pressure was 1,501 psi during testing on an 18/64-inch choke. It was acidized and fracture-stimulated in 50 stages. The Blue Ridge Field well was drilled to a total depth of 20,040 ft with a true vertical depth of 9,358 ft and it bottomed about 2 miles to the north in Section 28-159n-100w. Crescent Point’s headquarters are in Calgary.
