Description

Magnum Producing reported a Wilcox gas discovery in Victoria County (RRC Dist. 2), Texas. The #1 Spacek Unit flowed at a daily rate of 1.207 MMcf of gas, 16 bbl of 46.3° API crude and 35 bbl of water from perforations at 9,270-9,312 ft. The 9,500-ft well was drilled on a 40-acre lease in Davis Hines Survey, A-175. It was tested on an 11/64-inch choke and the flowing tubing pressure was 3,800 psi. According to IHS Markit, the well targeted a deeper pay zone than many of the wells in the area. Within 2 miles of #1 Spacek Unit are numerous Miocene and Frio wells in Helen Gohlke and Helen Gohlke Northeast fields.
