Description

IHS Markit reported that Whiting Oil & Gas Corp. has scheduled seven horizontal Niobrara tests on a common drillpad in the Denver-Julesburg Basin. The Weld County ventures will be in Section 11-10n-59w. The #11O-0209 through #11O-0212 Wolf-Federal and #11O-0242 through #11O-0244 Wolf-Federal will be drilled northward to 16,383-16,688 ft and will bottom in Section 2-10n-59w. True vertical depths are anticipated at 6,002-6,316 ft. The new horizontal projects are on Whiting’s Redtail prospect. Nearby production is within one mile to the southwest at Whiting’s #12L-0103 Wolf in Section 12-10n-59w. It was completed in 2014 as a Niobrara producer. Between 2014 and 2016, it produced 27.295 Mbbl of oil, 68 MMcf of gas and 131.519 Mbbl of water from Niobrara. Whiting is based in Denver.
