IHS reported that Whiting Oil & Gas Corp. completed a horizontal Middle (second bench) Three Forks producer on its Tarpon prospect in Twin Valley Field. Located in Section 4-152n-97w, the #11-4-2TFH Flatland-Federal initially produced 1.392 Mbbl of 45.8-degree-gravity oil, 2.87 MMcf of gas and 1.463 Mbbl of water per day. The McKenzie County, N.D., venture is producing from a horizontal lateral in Middle Three Forks extending from 10,937 ft southward to 21,177 ft. It bottomed in Section 9-152n-97w and was fractured stimulated in 35 stages at 10,010-21,021 ft. The Denver-based company previously completed a horizontal Middle Three Forks producer, #11-4-4TFH Flatland-Federal, from the same drillpad.
