Drilling Activity Summary

Description

A gas discovery was reported by Paris-based Total on the offshore Glendronach Prospect in its West of Shetland area of the North Sea. The #1-Glendronach was drilled to 4,312 m and encountered a 42-m gas column of net pay in a high-quality Lower Cretaceous reservoir. Preliminary testing indicates good reservoir quality, permeability and well production deliverability. The estimated recoverable resource is about 1 Tcf. The discovery is on Block 206/04a and area water depth is about 300 m. The formation is below the Edradour reservoir. Total is the operator of PL1453, Block 206/4a, and the discovery well with 60% interest in partnership with INEOS E&P UK, holding 20%, E&P UK, holding 20%, and Scottish & Southern Energy with 20%.
