Description

A Vermilion Parish, La.-Fresh Water Bayou North Field completion was announced by Houston-based Hilcorp Energy Co. The #1 Exxon Mobil Corp 34 flowed 3.619 MMcf of gas and 23 bbl of 48.8-degree-gravity crude per day from Discorbis bolivarensis (Miocene) at 14,122-45 ft. It was direction-ally drilled in Section 34-15s-2e to 14,448 ft and bottomed to the west. Gauged on a 9/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 4,100 psi. Offsetting the discovery is #1 Humble Fee that was completed in 1971 flowing 3.6 MMcf of gas and 24 bbl of 46.9-degree-gravity oil per day from Miocene at 13,218-22 ft.
