In northeastern Yoakum County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas, a San Andres discovery was reported by Amarillo-based Verdugo-Pablo Energy LLC. The horizontal Sable Field well, #1H Connie West, was tested through acidized and fracture-treated perforations at 5,824-10,268 ft. The initial daily potential was 134 bbl of 31-degree-gravity oil, 187 Mcf of gas and 2.661 Mbbl of water. A pilot hole was drilled to 5,785 ft it the well was drilled to 10,468 ft with a true vertical depth of 5,379 ft. The venture is in Section 316, Block D, John H. Gibson Survey, A-1214 and it bottomed about 1 mile to the south in Section 329.
