Description

Oil India Ltd. announced two Upper Assam Basin discoveries in Block A (PML Moran) in the Dibrugarh District of Upper Assam, India. Exploration well #1-Borbhuibil encountered multiple sands in Barail and Lakadong-Therria. A 15-m pay interval in Barail Sand at 3,322 m produced 176 bbl of oil per day. A 10-m Lakadong-Therria Sand at 4,300 m flowed 629 bbl per day. At #1-Lakwagaon, a gross column of 30 m of oil sand in Barail initially flowed 264 bbl per day. The well is currently on production. Additional testing and area exploration is planned. Oil India’s headquarters are in Duliajan, India.
