Union Jack Oil Gets Permission for Flow Testing, Pump Jack in East Yorkshire
Drilling Activity Details
United Kingdom
Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Union Jack Oil has received permission from the UK Environmental Agency to test the onshore #2-A West Newton in PEDL183 in East Yorkshire. The prospect is within the western sector of the Southern Zechstein Basin. The permit allows a pump jack to be used for lifting wellbore fluids and for the utilization of a smaller incineration unit during the testing of the well. During drilling and early testing operations of #2-A West Newton, additional information was gathered on the targeted Kirkham Abbey reservoir that identified a potential oil leg overlain by an associated gas cap within the reservoir interval.
