Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Union Jack Oil has spud the onshore #1-West Newton well. The planned objective for the venture is to evaluate the extent of the hydrocarbon accumulations in Kirkham Abbey found at a previous test, #2-West Newton. The 2,000-m well in Yorkshire will also test the reservoir properties of the deeper Cadeby which, if found to be hydrocarbon bearing, could add to the value of the West Newton Field. The 2019 in-place volumetric estimates for Kirkham Abbey are 146.4 MMbbl of oil-in-place, 21.5 Bcf of gas-in-place with an upside of 283 MMbbl of oil-in-place and 265.9 Bcf of gas-in-place. According to the Bath, U.K-based company, the volumes do not include prospective resources in Cadeby where #1-A West Newton recovered oil saturated core and the #2-WNAl encountered oil shows. Union Jack holds a 16.665% interest in PEDL183, containing the conventional #1-A West Newton discovery well and #2-West Newton appraisal well.
