Description

Two Tuscaloosa Marine Shale play wells were announced by Perth-based Australis Oil & Gas Ltd. In Amite County, Miss., #1 Stewart 30H was tested flowing 1.381 Mbbl of 39.7-degree-gravity crude, 466 Mcf of gas and 490 bbl of water per day. Production is from fracture-stimulated perforations at 12,227-19,073 ft, and it was tested on an 18/64-in. choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 1,954 psi. The Alfred C. Moore Field well is in Section 30-1n-6e and bottomed about 1.5 miles to the north in Section 19. The total depth is 19,424 ft and the true vertical depth is 11,778 ft. The company’s offsetting #2H Bergold 29H flowed 129 bbl of 40.8-degree-gravity crude, 41 Mcf of gas and 129 bbl of water per day from treated perforations at 12,776-14,348 ft. It was drilled to 14,524 ft, 11,875 ft true vertical. The horizontal Alfred C. Moore Field well bottomed within 2 miles to the south in Section 32.
