Description

Midland, Texas-based CrownQuest Operating LLC, according to IHS Markit, has completed two horizontal San Andres oil wells in Shafter Lake North Field. The Andrews County (RRC Dist. 8) reservoir is on the Central Basin Platform of the Permian Basin. The ventures are on a 609.2-acre West Texas lease in Section 20, Block A34, PSL Survey, A-1693. The #2H Offshoot 20 pumped 183 bbl of 39-degree-gravity crude, 28 Mcf of gas and 1.577 Mbbl of water per day from acid- and fracture-stimulated perforations at 5,088-8,880 ft. It was drilled to 9,420 ft and horizontal leg reached a true vertical depth of 4,658 ft and bottomed about a mile to the southeast. To the northeast, #3H Offshore 20 flowed 240 bbl of 39-degree-gravity oil, 169 Mcf of gas and 1.81 Mbbl of water per day. Acid- and fracture-treated perforations are at 4,896-9,323 ft in San Andres. The horizontal well was drilled to 9,400 ft, 4,656 ft true vertical.
