Description

Mewbourne Oil Co. completed two offsetting extended-lateral horizontal wells in the Delaware Basin in Eddy County, N.M. The wells are in Section 26-25s-28e. The #001H Oxbow 26-25 W1DA Federal Com was tested flowing 2.441 MMcf of gas, 699 bbl of 47.6-degree-gravity oil and 4.754 Mbbl of water per day following 60-stage fracture stimulation. The well was drilled to 19,925 ft, 10,038 ft true vertical, with a bottomhole location 2 miles to the east in Section 25. Production is from perforations at 10,067-19,885 ft in Wolfcamp. Tested on a 32/64-in. choke, the shut-in casing pressure was 2,300 psi. The offsetting and parallel #002H Oxbow 26-25 W0DA Federal Com flowed 1.005 MMcf of gas, 397 bbl of 47.6-degree-gravity oil and 3.764 Mbbl of water per day. The venture was drilled to 19,495 ft, 9,758 ft true vertical. It was fractured in 58 stages between 9,847 and 19,455 ft. the shut-in casing pressure was 2,150 psi when tested on a 30/64-in. choke. Both wells have been placed in Purple Sage Field.
