Description

ConocoPhillips Co. has completed two extended-reach horizontal Niobrara producers from a drillpad on the former Lowry Bombing Range in the Denver-Julesburg Basin. The #5-65-13-15-4AH La Plata-State is in Section 13-5s-65w in Arapahoe County, Colo. It averaged 984 bbl of oil, 1 MMcf of gas 6 and 1.065 Mbbl of water per day during 24 days in June. It was horizontally drilled about 2 miles westward to 17,965 ft and bottomed in Section 15-5s-65w. The planned true vertical depth was 7,921 ft. The #5-65 13-15-3DH La Plata-State had an average flowrate of 961 bbl of oil, 1.08 MMcf of gas and 967 bbl of water per day during 24 days in June. It was drilled about 2 miles to the west to a proposed total depth of 17,927 ft. It bottomed in Section 15-5s-65w and the planned true vertical depth was 7,960 ft. Additional completion details have not been released by the Houston-based company.
