Description
Gulf Exploration LLC, according to IHS Markit, has scheduled two more 3,500-ft exploratory tests targeting Pennsylvanian Leo (Minnelusa) oil zones on the Black Hills Uplift in South Dakota. The #1-10 Bolero will be in Section 10-10s-1e of Fall River County. It will be drilled nearly 3 miles northeast of North Hollingsworth Field, an inactive, four-well Leo pool. About 5 miles to the south-southeast, the Oklahoma City-based company has staked #1-2 Dragon in Section 2-11s-1e. The venture is about one-half mile east of Alum Creek Field. The field’s discovery well, #1-19 North Hollingsworth-Federal in Section 19-10s-1e, was completed in 1984 flowing 100 bbl of oil, 20 Mcf of gas and 97 bbl of water per day. Production is from an untreated Leo sand interval at 3,522-32 ft.
