Description
Helis Oil & Gas Co. LLC has completed two horizontal Codell discoveries in the northern Denver-Julesburg Basin. According to IHS Markit, the wells are the first two producers in the township. The #17-63-25-36-6CH Lazy JR is in Section 25-17n-63w, Laramie County, Wyo. The discovery flowed 232 bbl of oil, 91 Mcf of gas and 3.051 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a lateral drilled to the south to 17,437 ft, 7,527 ft true vertical, and it bottomed in Section 36-17n-63w. It was tested following a 60-stage fracturing between 7,980 and 17,285 ft. Within 4 miles to the west-northwest, #17-63-21-16-1CH Lerwick initially pumped 346 bbl of oil, 175.63 Mcf of gas and 2.554 Mbbl of water per day from 8,250-18,191 ft. It was drilled to 18,191 ft and was tested after fracture stimulation in 60 stages. The lateral was drilled northward to a bottom-hole location in Section 16-17n-63w and the true vertical depth is 7,821 ft.
