Description

Newfield Production Co. announced results from two high-volume Uinta Basin completions in Section 26-3s-3w, Duchesne County, Utah. The #2-26 3-3-23-14-1H Oats UT flowed 2.432 Mbbl of oil, 1.972 MMcf of gas and 2.738 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal Uteland Buttes lateral (Lower Green River) that was drilled to the north to 18,707 ft (8,936 ft true vertical) and bottomed in Section 14-3s-3w. It was tested on a 36/64-in. choke following fracturing between 8,929 and 18,702 ft. From the same drillpad, #2-26 3-3-23-14-12H Oats UT was tested flowing 1.387 Mbbl of oil, 1.128 MMcf of gas and 3.691 Mbbl of water per day from Wasatch. It was drilled to the north to 19,804 ft, 9,109 ft true vertical, and tested on a 36/64-in. choke. Production is from a fractured, perforated zone at 9,129-18,799 ft. Newfield is based in Oklahoma City.
