Description

Samson Resources, based in Tulsa, announced the completion of two high-volume horizontal Shannon producers that were drilled from a common in Section 27-40n-75w in Converse County, Wyo. The #21-2215 40-75SH Ogalalla Fed initially flowed 2.475 Mbbl of oil, 785 Mcf of gas and 1.262 Mbbl of water per day. The well was drilled north-northwestward to 21,154 ft (10,696 ft true vertical) with a bottom-hole location in Section 15-40n-75w. Within 50 ft to the north, #4075-2215 2SH Ogalalla Fed produced 4.975 Mbbl of oil, with 445 Mcf of gas and 1.958 Mbbl of water per day. This well was drilled north-northeastward to 21,101 ft (10,682 ft true vertical) with a bottom-hole location also in Section 15-40n-75w.
