Description

Two directional Fort Union producers were completed from a common drillpad on the eastern flank of Frenchie Draw Field by Aethon Energy Operating LLC. According to IHS Markit, #10-43 Gun Barrel Unit is in Section 15-37n-89w of Natrona County, Wyo. It initially flowed 120 bbl of oil, 1.488 MMcf of gas and 1.296 Mbbl of water per day from Lower Fort Union perforations at 7,710-9497 ft. It was tested on a 64/64-in. choke following six-stage fracturing. The flowing casing pressure was 446 psi. The discovery was directionally drilled to the northeast to 10,735 ft (10,070 ft true vertical) and bottomed in Section 10-37n-89w. From the same drillpad, #15-32L Gun Barrel Unit was tested flowing 232 bbl of oil, 1.027 MMcf of gas and 817 bbl of water per day. It was directionally drilled southward to 10,410 ft with a true vertical depth of 10,190 ft. The well is producing from 7,141-10,035 ft and it was tested on a 42/64- in. choke following a 10-stage fracturing with a flowing casing pressure of 385 psi. Aethon is based in Dallas.
