Description

In Hemphill County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas, Laredo Petroleum Inc. completed two Des Moines Granite Wash horizontal ventures in the Anadarko Basin. The #6H Washita River 2 is in Section 2, Block A-1, H&GN Survey, A-1076. The well flowed 8.14 million cu. ft. of gas, 312 bbl. of 57-degree-gravity condensate and 2,321 bbl. of water per day. Production is from a fracture-stimulated lateral at 12,025-16,120 ft. Tested on a17/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 2,413-psi. The well was drilled to 16,322 ft. and the true vertical depth was 11,625 ft. The #8H Elm Creek Ranch 35 is in Section 6, Block A-1, H&GN Survey, A-937. It was tested on a 32/64-in. choke flowing 11.1 million cu. ft. of gas, 381 bbl. of 60-degree-gravity condensate and 1,874 bbl. of water per day. Production is from a fracture-stimulated horizontal leg at 11,900-16,490 ft. that was drilled northward across Section 35, Block A-1, H&GN Survey, A-77. The respective measured and true vertical depths are 16,668 ft. and 11,329 ft. Laredo Petroleum is headquartered in Tulsa, Okla.
