Description

Mewbourne Oil Co. completed two Bone Spring producers to re-establish production in Wilson North Field. The wells were drilled from a drillpad in irregular section 6-21s-35e in Lea County, N.M. The #001H Cast Away 6 B2BW State Unit Com was tested flowing 204 bbl of oil, 239 Mcf of gas and 2.149 Mbbl of water per day following 37-stage fracturing. Perforations are at 9,877-17,385 ft in Second Bone Spring. The new producer is on the Carlsbad Shelf of the Permian Basin. It was drilled to 17,385 ft, 9,877 ft true vertical, and the lateral bottomed about 1.5 miles to the south. From an offsetting surface location, the parallel #001H La Trucha 6 B1CV State Com was completed in First Bone Spring at 9,288-16,575 ft. It initially flowed 675 bbl of crude, 958 Mcf of gas and 2.037 Mbbl of water after 36-stage fracturing. It was drilled to 16,635 ft with a true vertical depth of 9,150 ft.
