Description
Calgary-based Encana Corp. has completed a horizontal Tuscaloosa Marine Shale well in Amite County, Miss. The #1 McIntosh 15H is flowing 1.057 Mbbl of 43-degree-gravity oil, 609 Mcf of gas and 650 bbl of water per day from fractured perforations at 12,708-20,293 ft. Gauged on a 17/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 1,744 psi. The Pearl River Field well is in Section 16-1n-2e and was drilled to 20,352 ft, 12,239 ft true vertical. The lateral bottomed more than 1.5 miles to the north-northwest in Section 2.
