The field was opened in 1963, with wells in the Ottawa County reservoir, producing crude from perforations at 1,800-1,900 ft. One of the deepest wells in the field, #1 Heckel-State in Section 21, was drilled to 3,202 ft. The nearest Dundee Lime oil producer is 6 miles west-southwest of Rockford, Mich.-based Trendwell’s drillsite in Robinson Field where one well yielded crude from perforations at 2,096-2,102 ft.
