Burlington Resources Oil & Gas Co. LP received permits for three horizontal Niobrara tests on a common drillpad about 5 miles south of the Denver International Airport in Adams County, Colo. Located in Section 35-3s-65w, the wells will be drilled generally eastward and will bottom in Section 31-3s-64w. The #36-31-1DH Big Sandy 3-65 has a planned depth of 15,367 ft, 7,554 ft true vertical. The #36-31-2AH Big Sandy 3-65 will be drilled to 18,193 ft, 7,531 ft true vertical. The #36-31-2BH Big Sandy 3-65 will be drilled to 18,231 ft, 7,600 ft true vertical. About 1 mile to the north is the company’s 2015 completion, #34-35-1H Reserve 3-65 that initially flowed 699 bbl of 40-degree-gravity oil, 793 Mcf of gas and 274 bbl of water per day.
