Description

Completion details have been released on three horizontal wells drilled in Culberson County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, by Denver-based Cimarex Energy Co. The wells were drilled from a Delaware Basin pad in Section 27, Block 59 T2S, T&P RR Co Survey, A-2723. According to IHS Markit, #3H and #4H His Eminence 27 Unit were completed from a shared pad. The #3H His Eminence 27 Unit flowed 3.433 MMcf of gas, 1,081 bbl of 49.4° API oil and 5,372 bbl of water daily from fracture-treated Bone Spring perforations at 8,715-18,961 ft. The #4H His Eminence 27 Unit was tested in the deeper Wolfcamp zone at 9,265-19,480 ft flowing 6.31 MMcf of gas, 1,232 bbl of 51.9° API condensate and 5,347 bbl of water per day. The stacked lateral wells bottomed 2 miles to the north-northwest in Section 22 at respective depths of 19,071 ft (8,668 ft true vertical) and 19,571 ft (9,221 ft true vertical) in in Ford West Field. Within one-half mile to the east on the same two-section lease is #5H His Eminence 27 Unit, which flowed 4.234 MMcf of gas, 1,087 bbl of 48.5° API oil and 6,210 bbl of water from Wolfcamp at 8,995-18,101 ft. It was drilled to 18,983 ft and the true vertical depth is 8,854 ft.
