A development test has been permitted by Houston-based Talos Energy in an attempt to re-establish production on Ewing Bank Block 305. The #21-A OCS G35292 will be drilled from the existing A platform in the eastern portion of Ewing Bank Block 305. Water depth in the area is 270 ft. Platform A on Block 305 was installed in 1985, with wells drilled from the structure bottoming in Ewing Bank Block 305 and Block 306 as well as Mississippi Canyon Block 265 to the east. Numerous wells on Ewing Bank Block 305 produced under previous lease OCS G04254.
