Description
Houston-based Chevron Corp. has scheduled more development drilling in the company’s Tahiti Field. The #2 OCS G16770 will be drilled in the southwestern corner of Green Canyon Block 641 and area water depth is 4,200 ft. Tahiti Field is made up of Green Canyon blocks 596, 597, 640 and 641. Wells in the reservoir produce oil and gas from a range of Middle and Lower Miocene perforations at 23,000-29,000 ft. Through April 2018, cumulative field recovery totals nearly 440 MMbbl of crude and 220 Bcf of gas.
