Drilling Activity Summary

Description

SRC Energy Inc. has applied with the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) for an order approving a Comprehensive Drilling Plan (CDP) under Rule 216. The CDP will encompass approximately 23,677 acres in portions of unincorporated Weld County south of Greeley, plus in portions of the towns of Evans; La Salle; Miliken and Gilcrest. The plan area includes all or parts of the following sections: 6, 7, 18, 19 and 30-4n-65w; 1-6n-66w; 10-25-4n-66w; 1-4-4n-67w; 31-36-5n-66w; and 25, 26, 35 and 36-5n-67w. The CDP area lies within the greater Wattenberg Field. Within the CDP, SRC will request approval of approximately 10 to 25 drilling and spacing units for production from horizontal Niobrara and Codell wells. The final number of units requested for the CDP will depend on the size of each respective unit and no unit within the CDP area be larger than approximately 2,560 acres. COGCC records show that about 881 vertical or directional wells are located within the CDP area. Of these existing wells, 155 have been plugged and abandoned. SRC operates about 281 of these remaining active legacy wells, some of which produce from Niobrara and Codell. As part of a preliminary and final CDP, SRC plans to plug, abandon and reclaim all 281 of its active legacy wells. SRC will work with the operators of the remaining vertical or directional wells to determine whether these wells may also be plugged and abandoned as a result of SRC’s horizontal well drilling plan. SRC plans to combine its production facilities and well pads. Each production facility will be designed to service between 12 and 48 horizontal wells. The company also plans for all fluids within the CDP area to be transported by pipeline infrastructure.
