Description

According to IHS, Parsley Energy Inc. has completed its first operated well, a horizontal Wolfcamp oil producer in the Midland County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas portion of the Spraberry Trend. The #01BH Orel Hershiser 41-32 was tested pumping 1.057 Mbbl of 39-degree-gravity crude, 1.357 MMcf of gas and 721 bbl of water per day. Production is from acid- and fracture-treated perforations in Wolfcamp at 9,692-17,129 ft. The Midland Basin completion is in Section 41, Block 37, T1S, T&P RR Co Survey, A-128. The horizontal leg bottomed 1.5 miles to the north-northwest in Section 32. It was drilled to 17,129 ft, 9,392 ft true vertical, on a 1,142.5-acre West Texas lease. One-half mile to the east-northeast in the same section, RP plans to drill its #1BH John Denny 41-44. It is permitted to 12,000 ft with a horizontal leg running parallel to #1BH Gaylord Perry.Parsley Energy is based in Austin.
