Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Total reported a deepwater oil discovery in Brunei at #1-Jagus East. The venture is in Block CA-1 in South China Sea in 4,400 ft. of water. The #1-Jagus East well was targeting Miocene and Pliocene clastic reservoirs at a site just southeast of the previous #1-Julong East discovery that was made in early 2012. The #1-Jagus East was the third exploration well to be drilled on the deepwater concession. The Paris-based company is planning to drill a total of six wells on the block. The first well, #1-Julong Centre, failed to find hydrocarbons and was plugged and abandoned. The #1-Jagus East and previous discovery #1-Julong East, offset nearby Kikeh and Gumusut fields. Total is the operator of Block CA-1 and #1-Julong East with 54% interest in partnership with BHP Billiton, holding 22.5%, Hess, with 13.5%, Petronas, with 5%, and Murphy Oil with the remaining 5%.
