Beijing-based China National Offshore Oil Corporation has reported that deepwater discovery #17-2 Lingshui 17-2 in the northern South China Sea has been certified to have more than 3.53 Tcf in proven gas reserves. The 3,510 m well is in the Lingshui Sag in the Qiongdongnan Basin in 1,500 m of water. The company announced that #17-2 Lingshui has been tested to show production of about 56.5 MMcf/d of gas.
