Description
Cooper Energy completed a second sidetrack at development well #3-Bunian in the Sukananti KSO in South Sumatra, Indonesia. The sidetrack was drilled to 1,598 m and openhole wireline logging and testing is planned. Potential hydrocarbon bearing zones were identified in the primary target (TRM-3 Sand). The #1-Bunian was completed in 1998 and was initially tested flowing 1.585 Mbbl of oil per day. The Bunian structure is a four-way, fault bounded anticline. The rig has been released to drill another development well, #5-Tangai. Partners in the block are Perth-based Operator Cooper Energy with 55 per cent of the find and Mega Adhyaksa Pratama Sukananti Ltd, 45 per cent.
