Description
Gazprom, Total and Statoil will begin the first phase of development work at Shtokman Field, located in the Russian sector of the Barents Sea. The field holds 130 trillion cu. ft. of gas and 260 million bbl. of condensate. Phase one will produce 837 billion cu. ft. of gas a year. Pipeline deliveries will begin in 2013, and liquefied natural gas production in 2014. Gazprom holds a 51% stake in Shtokman Development Co., the entity formed to run the development; Total holds 25%; and Statoil has 24%.
