A horizontal Shannon discovery in the Powder River Basin was completed by Tulsa-based Samson Resources II LLC. The #11-2635 4075 SBH Spearhead-Federal initially flowed 2.503 Mbbl of oil, 990 Mcf of gas and 1.123 Mbbl of water per day. The well is in Section 2-39n-75w of Converse County, Wyo. Production is from a lateral drilled northward to of 21,182 ft, 10,853 ft true vertical, at a bottom-hole location in Section 26-40n-75w. It was tested on a 34/64-in. choke following 45-stage fracture stimulation between 11,264 and 20,981 ft.
