Description
Seven horizontal Turner Sand (upper Cretaceous) exploratory tests have been scheduled by Wave Petroleum Operating LLC on the southeastern flank of the Powder River Basin. The new ventures will all be drilled from a common drillpad in Section 35-42n-66w in Weston County, Wyo. The #42-66-26-35-ATH Bruce, #42-66-26-35-BTH, #42-66-26-35-CTH, Bruce #42-66-26-35-DTH Bruce will be horizontally drilled north and northwestward to total depths of 13,824-17,275 ft and will bottom in Section 26-42n-66w. True vertical depths are expected at 6,058-6,146 ft. The #41-66-02-11-ATH Bruce, #41-66-02-11-CTH Bruce, #41-66-02-11-DTH Bruce will be horizontally drilled southwestward to depths of 15,166-17,426 ft with bottom-hole locations in Section 11-41n-66w. True vertical depths are anticipated at 6,251-6,312 ft. The company’s drillpad is in an area of lower Cretaceous Newcastle/Muddy oil production in Clareton Field.
