Drilling Activity Summary
Description
A new pool discovery at a workover of an abandoned deep producer was completed on the edge of an isolated field by Tulsa-based Seek Energy LLC. Located in Gray County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas, #6 Ruth 23 produced 2.11 MMcf of gas, with no condensate or water. Production is from untreated perforations at 4,612-34 ft in an undisclosed formation. The venture is in Section 3, Block 3, I&GN Survey, A-316. Tested on a 20/64-in. choke, the shut-in tubing pressure was 1,005 and the flowing tubing pressure was 949 psi. It was drilled to 9,210 ft and originally completed in 1978 as a dry hole (#1 Spearman) after production tests of Ellenburger at 9,116-9,209 ft produced 250 Mcf of gas and 10 bbl of water per day.
