Description

Cimarex Energy Co., based in Denver, has completed two Second Bone Spring wells in Eddy County, N.M. The #001H Cabrera 34 Federal was tested pumping 537 bbl of 43.6-degree-gravity crude, 967 Mcf of gas and 1.615 Mbbl of water per day from fracture-treated perforations at 7,447-12,317 ft. The 12,345-ft well was drilled in irregular Section 34-26s-27e and the lateral bottomed almost 1 mile to the west-southwest at a true vertical depth of 7,599 ft. From an offsetting surface location, #004H Cabrera 34 Federal was tested on-pump flowing 722 bbl of 43.6-degree-gravity oil, 1.223 MMcf of gas and 1.8 Mbbl of water daily. Fracture-stimulated perforations are at 7,450-12,262 ft. It was drilled to 12,316 ft, 7,615 ft true vertical, and bottomed to the west-northwest.
