Description
Alta Mesa Services has staked another wildcat in the Boise Basin in Section 14-8n-5w of Payette County, Idaho. According to IHS Markit, #1-14 Barlow is projected to 5,800 ft, but no objectives were disclosed. The venture is about 5 miles west of Willow Field, which was discovered in 2010 by Calgary independents Bridge Resources Corp. and Paramax Resources Ltd. at 1#-10 ML Investments. The discovery initially flowed 4.5 MMcf of 1,150-Btu gas and 54 bbl of 61.5-degree-gravity condensate per day, with no water, from an undisclosed Pliocene Sand interval. It was acquired by Houston-based Alta Mesa and placed into production in August 2015. The discovery produced 273.1 MMcf of gas, 6.256 Mbbl of condensate and 1.486 Mbbl of water through February 2016. Willow Field, and nearby Hamilton Field to the south, are the first commercial discoveries of oil and gas in Idaho.
