Preliminary analysis from a Black Sea exploratory well, #1X-Lira, indicates that the well hit a 46-m productive interval of gas and that reserves could exceed 1.059 Tcf. Moscow-based Lukoil drilled the well in Trident Block EX-30 offshore Romania. The well was drilled to 2,700 m and is in about 700 m of water. It was temporarily abandoned for further evaluation of the discovery. Lukoil is the operator of the block and owns 100% interest.
