In North Dakota’s Mountrail County, Marathon Oil Co. completed a Middle Bakken discovery in Section 8-150n-93w. The #11-17H Miriam USA is in Reunion Bay Field and produced 4.866 Mbbl of 41-degree-gravity oil, 3.726 MMcf of gas and 2.561 Mbbl of water per day. It was drilled to 22,740 ft and the true vertical depth is 10,832 ft. Gauged on a 64/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 775 psi. Production is from perforations between 12,903 and 22,606 ft. Marathon’s headquarters are in Houston.
