Description
Whiting Petroleum Inc. has completed two horizontal Middle Three Forks-Williston Basin producers in Section 3-152n-97w of McKenzie County, N.D. The #11-3-1TFH Rolla-Federal flowed 3.149 Mbbl of 48.5 degree-gravity oil, 4.755 MMcf of gas and 1.072 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 11,311 ft southwestward to 20,965 ft, 10,773 ft true vertical, and it bottomed in Section 9-152n-97w. It was tested on a 48/64-in. choke following 35-stage fracturing between 11,430 and 20,803 ft. About one-half mile to the east, #31-3-1TFH Rolla-Federal initially flowed 3.271 Mbbl of 47.7-degree-gravity oil, 6.544 MMcf of gas and 2.467 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 11,278 ft southwestward to 20,930 ft, 10,865 ft true vertical, and bottomed in Section 10-152n-97w. It was tested on a 48/64-in. choke following a 35-stage fracturing between 11,335 and 20,806 ft. Whiting is based in Denver.
