According to IHS Markit, Unit Petroleum Co. reported preliminary test results on a horizontal Red Fork (Cherokee) producer in Custer County, Okla. The #1HX Wingard Farms 2128 was drilled in Section 21-14n-14w and had a peak 24-hour production rate of 2.85 Mboe per day (approximately 2.28 Mbbl of oil and 3.42 MMcf of gas). The Thomas South Field well was drilled south-southeast to 19,079 ft and bottomed in Section 28-14n-14w — little additional information is currently available. The Tulsa-based company calculated that the Cherokee reservoir underlying Section 21-14n-14w had recoverable original oil-in-place of almost 1.06 MMbbl.
