Description

According to IHS Markit, Fort Worth, Texas-based Range Resources Corp. has tested two horizontal Cotton Valley gas wells along the western edge of Terryville Field in Louisiana. Located in Section 25-19n-5w of Lincoln Parish, #1 Louisiana Minerals 25-36H was tested flowing 9.2 MMcf of gas, 12 bbl of crude and 5.705 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from fracture-treated perforations at 11,976-18,565 ft. Gauged on a 46/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 2,464 psi. The 18,699-ft well has a true vertical depth of 12,279 ft and bottomed within 1.5 miles to the south in Section 36. The offsetting #2 Louisiana Minerals 25-36H is producing 11.826 MMcf of gas, 1 bbl of crude and 5.708 Mbbl of water per day from a fracture-treated zone at 12,035-20,911 ft. Tested on a 54/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 2,336 psi. It was drilled to 21,040 ft, 12,416 ft true vertical, and the horizontal lateral bottomed within 2 miles to the south in Section 36.
