Description

A Dalhart Basin discovery was tested flowing 630 bbl of oil, with 1.03 MMcf of gas and 878 bbl of water per day. Apache Corp.’s horizontal exploratory test, #1011H Bivins East, is in Section 101, Block 47, H&TC Survey, A-242 in Potter County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. Production is from fracture-stimulated perforations between 9,802 and 16,370 ft in Canyon Lime. It was tested on a 38/64-in. choke and the flowing tubing pressure was 3,500 psi. The prospect was drilled to the southwest to 16,680 ft and bottomed in Section 102, A-1461 with a true vertical depth of 9,930 ft. There has been no previous drilling in either section. Apache is based in Houston.
