An Apache Corp. discovery was tested flowing 247 bbl of 43-degree-gravity oil and 743 Mcf of gas and 1.619 Mbbl of water. The horizontal well, #4301H Bivins East 42, is in Block GM-2, G&M Survey, A-500 in Potter County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. Production is from fracture-stimulated perforations in Canyon Lime between 9,500 and 16,358 ft. It was tested on a 64/64-in. choke with 210 psi of flowing tubing pressure. It was drilled to the northeast 16,848 ft, 9,360 ft true vertical, and bottomed in Section 43, A-488. Apache is based in Houston.
