Lawrenceville, Ill.-based Pioneer Oil Co. is underway at a 6,200-ft exploratory test in Sesser Consolidated Field. The Franklin County, Ill., venture in Section 35-5s-1e, #35-2 Sesser Unit, is targeting oil pays in Platteville Lime. One half-mile to the south, the company’s #35-1 Sesser Unit was completed in early 2018 and drilled to 5,852 ft. The Trenton Lime test was perforated at 5,689-5,756 ft with no other details available. Within 2 miles to the southeast of #35-2 Sesser Unit is #1 Triple T in Section 12-6s-1e, which was drilled in 1984 to 6,060 ft in Platteville Lime. It was tested pumping 2 bbl of crude and 14 bbl of water per day from Aux Vases at 2,604-16 ft.
