Extraction Oil & Gas Inc. has received permits to drill 11 horizontal Niobrara/Codell wildcats from two common drillpads in a Denver-Julesburg Basin in Section 30-12n-61w of Weld County, Colo. According to IHS Markit, #31S-20-7N, #8C, 9N, #10N and #11C Dunston East, 46191, 46193, 46194, 46195 will be drilled to the south and will bottom in Section 6-11n-61w. Total depths range from 17,512 to 17,817 ft. True vertical depth of the Niobrara tests is anticipated at 7,038 ft, while true vertical depth of the Codell tests is expected at 7,210 ft. The #30-12n-61w; #31S-20-1N, #2C, #3N, #4N, #5C and $6N Dunston West will be drilled to the south and will bottom in Section 6-11n-61w. Total depths range from 17,496 to 17,768 ft. True vertical depth of the Niobrara tests is anticipated at 7,038 ft, while true vertical depth of the Codell tests is expected at 7,210 ft. Nearby production is about 1 mile to the west of Denver-based Extraction’s #8 North LLC’s 29N-20-11C Darlene East, which reportedly has been completed as a fracture-stimulated horizontal Niobrara/Codell discovery.
