In eastern Paraguay's Parana Basin on the San Pedro Block, Amerisur Resources has spudded exploration well #1-Jaguarete. The exploratory has an estimated total depth of 10,000 ft and is targeting the Devonian Santa Elena and Lima formations. The prospective resources in the new basin are 106 MMbbl of oil. Amerisur's acreage position is approximately 4.8 million hectares over four 100% owned oil and gas permits. Amerisur is based in Cardiff, Wales.
