Drilling Activity Summary
Description
In Andrews County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, Pacesetter Energy LLC has completed two “Lord of the Rings”-themed wells as San Andres producers. The #1H University Frodo was tested on-pump for 701 bbl of 31-degree-gravity crude, 210 Mcf of gas and 2.242 Mbbl of water per day from 4,519-12,210 ft. It was drilled to 12,215 ft, 4,415 ft true vertical, and was acidized and fracture-stimulated. The Shafter Lake Field well is on a 483-acre West Texas lease in Section 5, Block 14, University Lands Survey, A-U445. The horizontal leg bottomed within 2 miles to the southeast in Section 6, Block 14, UL Survey, A-U446. About one-half mile to the south-southwest in Section 6 is #1H University Samwise, which was drilled to 9,496 ft, 4,489 ft true vertical, and has a 1-mile lateral that bottomed to the northwest in Section 5. It initially flowed 234 bbl of 31-degree-gravity oil, 65 Mcf of gas and 2.677 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from treated perforations at 4,682-9,492 ft. Pacestetter’s headquarters are in Flower Mound, Texas.
